Artistic Direction: Mark Lawes
Outside | In is a hybrid immersive experience, conceived by Mark Lawes and created with Raphaële Thiriet and the Theatre Junction collective, drawing inspiration from the panopticon, science fiction, and escape games. This hybrid work delves into the concepts of freedom and social control, inviting the audience to observe and participate in a variety of worlds, both physical and virtual, to open up questions about societal and social structures that shape our lives. The installation consists of a variety of worlds, where the public experiences a mix of in-person live performance, AI generated interactive elements, and live streamed moving-image. Outside | In is an installation and has no beginning and end time and the public can enter at any time during the performance and stay as long as they wish.
