Classical singer and multidisciplinary artist Stephanie Pothier sings as guest soloist with prestigious Canadian companies such as Opéra de Montréal, Les Violons du Roy, and Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Working under the baton of well known conductors like Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Kent Nagano, she explores a wide range of repertoire from virutoso Baroque to new operas.
Motivated by the crossing of art forms, Stéphanie founded ClairObscur in 2019 incorporating her dual practices of photography and classical singing. She creates projects that mix classical and contemporary music with photography, video, visual and digital arts.
Touring since 2021, she produces and performs in her feminist-themed concert Camille Claudel : dans l’ombre du géant, in collaboration with Quatuor Molinari. Her last creation, De la mer aux nuages, is a multimedia concert for voice, piano, and electronics in the form of a poetic exploration of our relation with the vital and essential element: water.
