Alix Dufresne Production J'le dis là
Since her training in directing at the National Theatre School of Canada, Alix Dufresne has presented “Les paroles” at Prospero (2014), “Nuits Frauduleuses” at CTD'A (2016), “Hidden Paradise” at the FTA, at the Festival d'Avignon and on tour in Quebec and Europe (2016-2022), “La déesse des mouches à feu” at Quat'Sous (2018), “Féministe pour hommes” at Usine C (2021) and “Malaise dans la civilization” at the FTA (2022). She is a new associate artist at Usine C and her creations will be an integral part of the programming of the next seasons (2022-2025). Alix Dufresne's. creations have a hybrid style, on the borderline between dance, theatre and performance. She explores the body and various media by combining artistic material with committed speech. Her shows, whether poetic, sociological or political, always resonate with the concerns of today's world.
Line Rousseau A Propic
Line Rousseau is the founder of the Creative Agency A propic. Graduated from The High School of the Social Sciences Paris (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) and the University of Montreal, Line Rousseau has always been very interested in cultural policies in Europe and North America and in the status of artists in France and in Quebec. In 1998, Line Rousseau moved to the Netherlands, where she discovered an innovative cultural system (dance academies and theatres, workspace for emerging artists, production houses, and great support for international sales). After working at Productiehuis Brabant, a Dutch production house in the south of the country, Line Rousseau decided in 2005 to start her Creative Agency for International promotion for the Performing and Visual Arts. Since then, her agency has been organizing international tours, co-productions and residencies for artists and companies. Since 2010, A propic also organizes Dutch focus in partnership with foreign venues such as Le Théâtre de Vanves, L’Usine C in Montreal and the Dance Center in Zagreb.
Asa Edgren LOCO WORLD
Åsa Edgren founded the successful cultural exchange organization Loco World (Formerly known as Loco Motion) in 2004 after studying as a Performing Arts Manager at UNIARTS, Stockholm. Since starting LW, she has brought a number of small- and medium-sized Swedish, European and Asian art groups from various disciplines on international tours and built a global audience base with a keen appreciation for Scandinavian modern arts. Åsa Edgren is a board member of the International Society for the Performing Arts. Prior to founding LW (LM), Åsa Edgren held producer and general manager roles at dance famed choreographer Philippe Blanchard’s production and Management Company. She also turned an old factory into a Theater, later used by The Cultural capital of Stockholm in 1998, where Peter Greenaway exposed his 100 objects exhibition. She has forged a number of partnerships with overseas organizations to bring internationally renowned artists such as modern dance icons Marie Chouinard as well as Ohad Naharin to Scandinavia for exchanges, workshops and performances. She also teaches at the International Management master program at Uniarts in Stockholm.
Menno Plukker Menno Plukker Theatre Agent, Inc.
Menno Plukker has been involved since 1981 in theatre and dance management. From 1981-1985 he directed a foundation for multi-ethnic theatre in The Netherlands (S.T.I.P.T.) and programmed a multi-cultural theatre festival (Stagedoor) in Amsterdam in 1983-1984. He was Administrative Director of Theater De Balie in Amsterdam from 1986-1988, and founded his own theatre booking agency in 1987, providing financial, production and promotion services to a wide array of theatre and dance companies in the Netherlands through 1990. In 1989, he started to represent and produce artists and companies from Québec in Europe. In 1990 he moved to Montréal and he has dedicated himself mostly to worldwide representation of Canadian theatre and dance artists since. From 1995-2003 Menno produced three editions of the Six Stages festival in Toronto, in collaboration with Sherrie Johnson. In 2002, Sherrie Johnson and Menno Plukker organizedSix Stages in Europe, a presentation of Canadian theatre and dance in 3 European cities: Glasgow, Berlin and Prague. Menno was also involved as a programming consultant with LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre) in London, England in 2008.
Jonathan Thonon Théâtre de Liège
Jonathan Thonon is European Project Manager at Theatre de Lie?ge (Belgium), director of IMPACT (International Meeting in Performing Arts and Creative Technologies) a project that aims to build bridges between Performing arts, Science and Technology. The IMPACT FORUM take place each year in November since 2017 mixing performances, workshops, talks and exhibition. The 3 rd edition will take place from 3 to 24/11 welcoming some of the greatest international artists: Hiroaki Umeda, Daito Manabe, Wayne Mc Gregor, Gilles Jobin, Eric Castaing... Jonathan is also Co-Founder of Wallifornia Musictech, a MusicTech hub based in Lie?ge (Belgium), where startups, music pro- fessionals, investors, developpers and hackers develop together the future of the music industry; associate researcher at University of Lie?ge, working on Digital Arts, Cinema & Contemporary Arts and exhibited cinema and Lecturer at the Lie?ge School of Arts on New Media Arts. In the past years, Jonathan was coordinator of the Video Arts festival (Lie?ge) and production assistant of Videographies21 (TV show on National).
