Mongolia
Music Pitch Sessions
26 May 2021

This show will be presented on May 26th at 9:30 am (EDT).

Khusugtun has been one of the most in vogue throat singing groups in Mongolia for 10 years. Synonymous with "nomads" their name represents their desire to nomadize in music, like their ancestors who traveled the world. The peculiarity of the sextet lies in the use of vocal polyphony. After being revealed by the Khöömii International Festival of Ulaanbaatar, BBC Proms, Rainforest Music Festival, Khusugtun toured in around twenty countries. What matters to them is that we listen their music while imagining the beauty of nature, to free ourselves from everyday worries.

*This show was initially selected in the official program of the 19th edition of the CINARS Biennale. We are proud and pleased to present it to you during CINARS Web 2021.
