At fifteen years old, Rose is in a very dark place. Her depression has led her down a rough path: hospitalization, dropping out of school, isolation. One evening, to please her parents, she manages to get out of her pajamas and go for a walk. At the base of an office tower, she meets Victor, a peculiar teenager who hides from the light, stalks people, talks too much and plays soccer recklessly. In a tug-of-war where the present and the future compete for the truth, this unexpected friendship will guide Rose from the depths of her low self-esteem to the top of the tower, somewhere between her darkest memories and the brightness of a new dawn. Filled with humour and kindness, Rose is an ode to life. Without complacency but through empathy, the play seeks to paint a fair, much-needed picture of the psychological suffering that can drive someone to the brink of despair.
