SHOWCASE SWEDISH + CANADIAN MOVEMENTS - DANCE FROM TWO COUNTRIES Two large metal structures, a 1983 computer, small yellow 3D printed sculptures: in this desperate setting evoking the ruins of capitalism, dance grows like an optimistic mushroom, the matsusake. Audrée Juteau and her collaborators are amazed to see it grow in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Dressed in burnt orange lycra, they move like punk mould. "No future for you", sing the Sex Pistols. They feed off the waste and rediscover the joy of dancing. Bewitchment, psychedelia, feminism. Will we learn the lesson of hope that the mushroom teaches us?
