In the intimate ambience of a house concert, we share the songs set to the powerful and haunting poetry of contemporary Chinese worker poet Xu Lizhi. A synergy of global and classical music, these songs, performed in Mandarin, offer a vivid glimpse into life on the assembly line of countless workers who provide the amenity for our digital age. Kong Kie Njo - Singer Kong Kie Njo - Pianist Dahlia Katz - Photo credits This is an intimate concert version of our staged show. The introduction to the songs will be delivered in English. There will be English/French translations of the poetry shared with the guests. The songs themselves are performed in Mandarin Chinese.
