Call for Applications for the CINARS Biennale 2018 Official Programming







The CINARS Biennale 2018 Official Programming will feature selected full-length showcases as well as showcased excerpts of works in danse, music, theatre, multidisciplinary arts and circus. The call is open to artists from all countries and applications must be sent before February 23, 2018.


A real success story, this not-to-be missed international networking event now brings together more than 1500 professionals in the performing arts, hailing from 40 countries around the world, who discover, over the course of a week, more than 190 shows, participate in workshops and share in their practices. The 18th edition the CINARS Biennale will also be the occasion to celebrate CINARS’s 35th anniversary.



To submit a proposal for the CINARS Biennale 2018 Official Programming, please follow these steps:

- Carefully read the Policies of the Official Programming;


- Look at the following video Guide that will help you properly fill out the application; 


- Fill out the on-line application form.



Please provide the following items via the online application:

- Letter of motivation from agent/representative;


- Written description of your show in French and/or in English (100 words max.);


- Itinerary of past tours (last three years);


- Itinerary of future tours;


- Technical rider of the show submitted in application;


- 1-3 high resolution photos (300 DPI);


- Video link of your show (YouTube or Vimeo) in full-length and/or in excerpt performances;


- Press reviews;


- Payment of a non-refundable $125 CAN processing fee by cheque or PayPal.



If selected to the CINARS Biennale 2018, additional charges must be accounted for:

- Booth rental: Agents or representatives of selected artists must be registered at the CINARS Biennale 2018 and must rent a booth or a half-booth in the exhibition room;


- Transportation fees, accommodation and per diems: The artists selected for a showcase are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation as well as for inquiring about any government funding available to them.
